Event Info

General

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be postponed for a later date. We are going to put every effort into making this a raincheck for later date this year rather than a cancellation if possible. 

 

Our Tournament Operator and Owner of ACE are spending a lot of time and energy to figure all of this out, including potential reimbursements. 

 

Given this is an unprecedented time, it is hard to have all the answers yet. We will keep teams updated via AES messaging to any emails attached to team rosters. We will keep the public updated on the AES event page.

Event Policy

AAU SANCTIONED This is an AAU-sanctioned event. All clubs, athletes, and adults (coaches, team representatives, etc) on team rosters must be AAU members. If you are not AAU members but wish to participate in this tournament, click here to find more information on becoming AAU members. If this is the only thing holding your team back from registering, please reach out to see if we can help.

 

PRE-TOURNAMENT WEEKEND INFORMATION


ACCEPTANCE Teams will be accepted as payment is received by ACE staff as space allows. Priority will be given first by payment date and second by registration date. Registration does not guarantee acceptance into the tournament.

 

PAYMENT Payments are due by FRI, MAR 6. You have the option to pay online via AES or send in a check. If sending a check, please follow the instructions below:

 

STEP 1 Make the check out to Atlantic Coast Events.

STEP 2 In the memo section, write the tournament date(s) and your club name if for several teams or team name if for one team.

STEP 3 Include the AES Entry Form, printed and signed, in the same envelope as your check.

STEP 4 Address the envelope to the address included in the next section.

ROSTERS Rosters are due by FRI, MAR 13 in AES. Once this date passes, the ability to update team rosters will not be available. The sooner the better so that your coaches receive all information leading up to this event! Rosters must include at least one head coach and seven athletes. TOURNAMENT WEEKEND INFORMATION


LOCATION This event is being held at the following location:

SCHEDULE The schedule will be finalized and sent out to club directors and coaches by the Wednesday evening prior to the tournament. You will be able to follow the schedule via AES once it goes live online. Please note that if you ask for this information in advance regarding the schedule, we will not be able to satisfy your request. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we wait to see how the divisions develop. Doors will open at 7AM with the first match of each day taking place at 8AM.

 

CHECK-IN Check in will be on the Saturday of the event.A coach from each team must turn in a PRINTED and SIGNED roster to the Tournament Director at their team's venue prior to playing their first game on Saturday. Click here if you need information on how to update and print your AES roster.

 

AGE DIVISIONS Divisions are subject to be combined if needed.

 

SEEDING We do our best to rank appropriately so that every team has the opportunity to have an enjoyable experience. Priority goes to any teams who have participated in previous events within this year's series. Then we look at overall results. If a team is playing up a division, they will be ranked after all of the other teams within the age bracket unless we have results from previous tournaments for them within the same age bracket.


FORMAT The first day will consist of pool play. The format of pool play per division will be determined by the number of teams registered and accepted into that division. The second day will be single elimination playoffs with a consolation game if needed. The results of pool play will determine placement of each team in playoffs. Each match will be the best of three sets with the first two sets to 25 and the third set to 15. No cap. Each team will be guaranteed five matches.

 

SPECTATOR FEES $10 per day and $15 per weekend with wristbands provided. Children 12 and under are free.

 

MORE EVENT INFORMATION Specific information for spectators and teams, such as parking, facility policies, schedule link, etc will be provided within an event document once the schedule goes live on AES. All coaches and club directors with email addresses on rosters will receive this document to share with their teams.
