Event Info

General

Our EVENT IS ON!  June 25-26th has gotten official approval!  SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED!  ONLINE TICKETS WILL BE SOLD.

Tickets are $12 for Adults, $10 Seniors (65+), and $5 for children 8 and under.  Normally children 8 and under are free, but due to the additional sanitation and staff, Cedar Point Sports Center will need to charge the $5 fee.   Only daily passes are available.  This is because Cedar Point needs to be able to track how many spectators are in the arena to comply with the guidelines.

 

2020 Battle of Lake Erie! a JVA CHALLENGE SERIES EVENT

Acceptance Policy/Criteria: Teams will be accepted as payment is received as space allows.  Registration DOES NOT guarantee acceptance to the tournament.

Housing information will be given to PAID and ACCEPTED teams only. We recommend teams make their hotel reservations as early as possible.

 

2 Day WAVE FORMAT UPDATE- 14s , 15s and 17/18s - AM, 12s/13s and 16s - PM

 

Spectators and teams can begin to enter the building for the AM Wave at 7:00 AM.  After the AM Wave, spectators will be asked to leave the building in an orderly fashion to maintain distance.  Once the AM Wave spectators are cleared and the building is sanitized, PM Wave spectators and teams will be allowed to enter the building in an orderly fashion to maintain distance. 

 

Play will begin each day at 9AM.  On Day 1, the AM Wave's last scheduled matches begin at 2:00 PM.  The Day 1 PM Wave will start 45 minutes after the last matches end from the AM Wave (between 3:45 and 4:15 PM).  This will allow the

building to be cleared and re-sanitized.  12's and 13's will play in Pool Play on Day 1 together.  All 12's teams will be listed in the 13 Premier Division for Day 1.  Then, the 12's will break out on Day 2 into a 3 team pool to determine a champion.

 

Coaches do NOT need to bring warm up balls or carts, as they will be provided.  The ONLY responsibility of each work team is to provide a score flipper who can also keep a running score and keep track of the number of substitutions a team takes.

Line up sheets and libero tracking sheets will not be used for this event.

 

Spectator seating will be provided, so no chairs need to be brought into the building by spectators.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be given, less 20%, up until March 10th. No refunds will be given thereafter. Payments to be made to: Ohio Xtreme and mailed to PO Box 2581, Stow, OH 44224.

Roster Disclaimer

ALL adults on rosters MUST complete the following to participate in the event:

  • Clear a background screening (USAV/JVA screen both accepted)
  • Complete Safesport (USAV) OR JVA Abuse Prevention Systems training
  • Show proof of completion of a concussion training course

All rosters are due by June 10th. Rosters submitted after June 10th are subject to a $25 late roster fee.
