General

REGISTRATION OPENS 8/1 AT MIDNIGHT EST

Teams registered in Open/Premier, Premier/Elite, or Club/Classic will select which division they prefer to participate in approximately 1 month prior to the event date via Google Form. Teams that do not select either division will be placed appropriately in a division by the JVA Seeding Committee. 

NEW THIS YEAR: We have added a 5th division (Elite) to the 15's and 16's age group ONLY, this is due to the high volume of interest in these divisions. Teams will be able to register for Open, Premier/Elite, and Club/Classic. Only teams in Premier/Elite and Club/Classic will be moved into separate divisions, teams registered in Open will remain in Open.

With the limited number of 18's teams who registered in year's past and the overwhelming numbers of teams who are interested in participating in the 12-17u divisions, we have decided to not have an 18's division for this event.

Entry Fee Information

Become a JVA Member to receive a $50 discount per entry per team by joining here. Entry fees are $575 for nonmembers, and $525 for members. See Notes at the bottom of this page for information on claiming your member rate discount if you pay the nonmember rate.

Payments via check are to be made to JVA and mailed to 905 N. Main St, Chicago, IL 60653.

Payments made via credit card are submitted to a 3% convenience fee.

Event Policy

Acceptance Policy/Criteria:

Registration DOES NOT grant acceptance to the tournament. Teams are not accepted until payment is received by the JVA and as division space allows. Priority is given to JVA Member Clubs as long as payment is received.

Due to high demand, Pending teams that have not submitted payment will be dropped 30 days AFTER their registration timestamp for the event.

 

Acceptance Status Date: Two (2) weeks after registration opens, no teams will be accepted before this date.

Division Strength- The following divisions are listed by strength of competition, highest to lowest; Open, Premier, Elite, Club, Classic.

POWER POOLS

Teams competing in 14 Open, 15 Open, 16 Open, and 17 Open ONLY will include power pools on Day 1.
The top 8 seeds will be placed in two power pools of 4, and then the 1st and 2nd place finishers from the other
pools will join the power pool teams for the gold bracket on day 2.

Roster Disclaimer

ALL adults on rosters MUST complete the following to participate in the event:

-Clear a background screening (JVA/AAU)

-Complete JVA Abuse Prevention training

 

 Background screens can take up to 10 business days to process, please complete the screen by Friday, May 9th to ensure you will be clear to be added to a roster.

Player and Staff Waiver Forms all rostered players and staff must have the waiver forms completed. These are collected electronically ONLY, no hard copies are accepted. Proof of completion will be sent to the Club Directors email, JVA member clubs will also be able to access the completed forms via their Club Director profile on the JVA website. Waivers only need to be completed ONCE per event season, and are valid for all JVA events.

Concussion Test Verification (see resources below) ONLY ONE adult per team must have the concussion training. Teams without a trained adult will not be allowed to compete!

All rosters are due Friday, May 16th. Rosters submitted after May 16th are subject to a $25 late roster fee.

Member Rate Refund:

If you pay the non-member rate as a JVA member club paying via credit card or check, please email tournaments@jvavolleyball.org with your mailing address to receive your $50 member rate discount. Clubs paying via credit card will be reimbursed to the card on file, up to 180 days after initial payment. 

Cancellation Policy:

Refunds will be given, less 20%, up until Friday, May 2nd. No refunds will be given thereafter for teams that withdraw. Payments via check to be made to JVA and mailed to 905 N. Main St., Naperville, IL 60563. Payments made via credit card are submitted to a 3% convenience fee.
